Excerpts from 33 letters written to Sieur Hubert, mainly from 1718-1723 when he was the leader of the opposition to the government of Bienville in the Louisiana colony. One letter here is an abstraction of our Lettre Ecrite en forme de relation a Monsieur d'Argenson (1720 fBea, James Ford Bell call number). The compiler of this collection of extracts was documenting the hostility felt towards Bienville, and the authors of the letters are named and can be traced as soldiers, clerks, engineers, etc. in the Louisiana Colony.
